An old advertising brochure for the German “Pelikan” company. It reads: “Day in, day out, millions of secretaries around the world fulfill their responsible task. They are their bosses’ right hand. They take up stenographs, write letters, make phone calls and prepare conferences. But whatever they have to accomplish, they need good tools for it.”…

I found these two small, pocket spiral notepads on a trip to the antique mall. Both had the worn brown, heavyweight waxed covers and aged yellow, lined paper. How could I pass them up? Shouldn’t every man have a notepad and a pencil in his shirt pocket? (by me)
I scored this unused vintage “ledger” at the antique mall this weekend. It appears to a pocket sized address book though it could have been used for a number of purposes. I love the creamy yellow pages, think blue lines and the tabbed alphabetical cut-outs. (by me)
