NOTCOT took the Slice Precision Cutter for a test drive and provided a review of this ceramic knife. Its designed by Karim Rashid to cut like an X-Acto but with a long-wearing ceramic blade and easy-to-hold ergonomics. Opinions online vary depending on quality control of the product but for about $7, its a lot cheaper than the box of X-acto blades I use over the course of a year so it may be worth the gamble.

The Alex filing drawers from Ikea are almost as ubiquitous to the modern home office as the Parsons desk from West Elm. This photo shows that to really get some mileage out of this diminutive flat files, you need to line about three of them up as an office sideboard with infinite storage space.

FYI: The Alex drawers were designed to hold A2 paper (16.5 x 23.4 in) which can be a bit of a challenge to Americans accustomed to our Letter, Legal and Tabloid sheets.
