This week is big in the art world and the chance to see a legendary print created by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai called Under the Wave. Both the Nelson-Atkins Museum here in KC and the Art Institute in Chicago is putting this beautiful print on exhibit in different exhibitions. There’s something mesmerizing and a bit menacing about this print. Nature is beautiful and frightening. I can’t wait to see the print in person.
