  1. I love fountain pens and all writing instruments. I’ve never had a beauty like this one and would love the chance to be selected to win it!

  2. My favorite Ensso product is the XS Minimalist Pocket Fountain Pen – Copper. Thanks for offering another fun giveaway.

  3. I have never used an Ensso product, but this fountain pen is beautiful. Your generosity to the community is appreciated.

  4. My favorite is the XS Minimalist Pocket Fountain Pen – Brass. I use it all the time for jotting notes in my Field Notes memo books.

  5. I haven’t had the pleasure of using an Ensso pen yet, but I think the Italia FP and the Giro ballpoint would be very distinctive pens to use during a work meeting.

  6. I don’t actually own a Ensso fountain pen at this point. Of all the models offered, the Italia is my favorite. With a little luck, this pen will be my first! 🙂

  7. I don’t own an ENSSO product, but if I did own one (and I hope that the giveaway is that one) then it would be my favorite one.

  8. I really like the design of the Italia. The greek key pattern reminds me of my OMAS and I like the chunky, hefty, yet elegant look of the body. I know, that is some weird oxymoron verbiage there.

  9. I don’t have any Ensso products. My favorite would be the pen in the giveaway because I like objects that have the Greek Key design.

  10. This was the first I’ve heard of Ensso, so I have no favorites to list. It certainly looks like a special pen!

  11. That is a BEAUTIFUL pen❤
I LOVE the Greek keyband, I’ve never owned an ENSSO pen. Titanium would also be a first for me.
Count me in. I am intrigued and ready to fall into that rabbit hole LOLOL

    REGARDS,
    RLJ

  12. Wasn’t very familiar with the brand, but I must say the little pattern on this pen is very pleasing. The minimalist pens are quite striking also.

  13. Oh. An Ensso Italia. That is a beautiful pen. And you could say I’m into metal pens collecting for example the Targa 1001 or the Parker Flighter series. It’s a thing. And yes I do have an Ensso Piuma – a black one. I call it my nothing pen. No clip. No ornamentation. All black. All pen. And quite a serviceable one I must say. This one being bare metal might fit right in with the steel crowd. Maybe he even will get along with that Hero H718 of the same color…

  14. I don’t own any of the Enzo products but love how they look. The Escala scale ruler fountain pen is a great product!

  15. Hello
Thanks for the blog, I really enjoy it.
I live abroad of the US, but can I participate if I pay for the shipping myself?
I own an ēnsso piuma in black aluminium and I like it. I must admit I did not like the nib it came with; but luckily it is a Bock 250 and I bought a titanium B nib from FPNibs, with the “extra flow hack” for the feeder, and now it’s a delight.
There are a couple of things I really appreciate in the Piuma. First, it has a comfortable size but it is light. Second, it is clipless. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t appreciate the Italia too!!
    Thanks again.

  16. Thanks for this cool opportunity! I don’t own an Ensso myself, but my friend does. He’s an engineer, and he has one of the Escala Scale Ruler fountain pens – the pen has a three-sided ruler/straight edge as a cap, and it’s pretty darned cool. He let me use it and the pen wrote beautifully. I would love to add an Ensso Italia to my small pen collection. Thanks again, and I hope you are enjoying the spring!

  17. I have an Ensso Pocket titanium fountain pen from the Kickstarter campaign, and I upgraded to a titanium nib…fantastic pen, so fun to carry around and use.

  18. Well, I already owned an Ensso Piuma Brass fountain pen. It’s the heaviest pen I have ever handled. I haven’t used it much, just one fillings worth. I don’t know if it would tire my head with extensive use since it was only used for quick notes. Now I will be getting the Ensso Aria (thanks Ana!) and that will also be in matching brass. I think that one will be much more practical. I think I will be using it immediately when I get it and will carry it around everywhere I go since it’s a low maintenance Bic ballpoint pen with fancy metal shell. I was tempted to get an Ensso Italia in Titanium when they first came out, but needed to take a break on purchases. Good things come to those who wait…maybe? ^_^

  19. What a lovely giveaway! I do not own an Ensso pen so winning one would be fantastic (hint..hint…). They do have some unique pens and my favourite would have to be the XS Minimalist. It reminds me of a Kickstarter pen I have that is about the same size. Perfect for on-the-go writing. Not that I have been going anywhere lately but that will change soon, right? P.S. I thought my use of the British “favourite” might add a touch of class to my comment and perhaps increase my likelihood of winning…or at least make you laugh!

  20. The Ensso pocket pen has always intrigued me, but this Italia reminds me of the Leonardo Momento Zero which I love. Thanks for the giveaway

  21. While I love the Ensso design aesthetic in general, this Italia is my new fave. Thanks for the giveaway!

  22. Well
I do not own an Ensso pen yet, but if I do win I’m sure that this Beautiful Ensso will be my most favorite ever.
    Thanks

  23. To be honest, Ensso is a brand that wasn’t even on my radar until your review & giveaway. I really like the machined look of the ITALIA, and I suppose silver will just have to do as my favorite since they don’t have “Ana Hair Pink” yet!

  24. I have no Ensso products so this features pen is my current favorite. It is beautiful!!!! I love the detail on the nib.

  25. Until I saw the Ensso Italia, I never knew why my life had always felt incomplete–like a part of me was missing, like I had been separated at birth from my twin…not an identical twin, obviously because I am in no way sleek, or stylish, or in any other way resemble the Italia, but a twin nonetheless!

  26. I didn’t get a chance to pick up the limited run when it was offered, but the burgundy Piuma Minimalist is what turned me on to this company and I’d love to add an Italia to my desk.

  27. I love the look of all of the Ensso pens, especially the titanium ones. The Minimalist Pocket Fountain Pens look great!

  28. I’ve never used any of their products, but I’d have to agree with everyone saying the XS minimalist. Still, this is a gorgeous pen.

  29. I’d have to say the new ITALIA would suit my current needs the best, and it looks stunning! I’ve got a few pocket pens and though I do really like the look of the copper XS minimalist, I just don’t think I can justify adding it to the gang.

  30. Oooh, an Ensso. I love my Ensso Ferrari and drive it all the time while listening to Ensso Pinza singing on the stereo. Oh yes, I love my Enssos!

(I don’t own an Ensso pen yet, but I’d love one. 🙂

  31. I’ve only been familiar with their products through reviews in the last few months, so I don’t even have a clue as to my own personal favorite. All I know is that I have been inkling to try something out from them.

  32. I have two Ensso UNO pens, and I love them. I hope to pick up one of their fountain pens some day…

  33. This would be my first Ensso pen (should I be fortunate enough to win). After reading other comments, I’m rushing off to check out the XS Minimalist Pocket Fountain Pen!

  34. I have an ensso uno minimalist pen in red that I love, but I don’t own any metal fountain pens. I have been looking at several in this price range, and I want to try one. I like this one because it is heavy and stainless steel. I want a pen with more weight and presence.

  35. I like the XS Minimalist fountain pen, but I really like the look of the new Piuma pocket fountain pen Ensso has on kickstarter.

  36. I’m fond of the “ARIA Ballpoint Pen for BIC” (in Brass) but this fountain pen looks pretty great too.

  37. I think the minimalist fountain pen in burgundy looks beautiful! I’d love to try Ensso’s writing instruments- they have amazing design sensibility!

  38. My favourite is the ēnsso Piuma, Aluminium. I own four, each with a different size nib, and look to buying another.

The pen is super reliable. It is 100% air tight (there is no Cap clip to allow air leaking in and possibly drying out the nib, so no cap liner is necessary), the Section & Barrel threads, the mating surfaces cut so precisely, that air cannot infiltrate the barrel, therefore there is no hard starting in the morning.

Because of the Bock Type 250 nib unit, the pen is a wet writer and upgrading the standard size #6 nib is easy and painless; it can accept Bock or Jowo nibs. My pens never skip, never false start, never blob.

The pen is easily flushed with a 2 oz. bulb syringe and the un-screwed nib unit can be dropped into a Sonic cleaner for more thorough cleaning. The supplied Schmidt converter does not air-lock, ink does not stick to the walls, so there is never ink starvation, where a pen can either stop, or the writing gets lighter the more one writes.

The uncapped pen body is a perfect 5.0″ long, the 1″ long contoured Section is comfortable to hold and the end lip prevents one’s fingers from touching the nib. It is 11mm to 12mm in diameter at where most will likely grasp the pen. At 14mm Barrel diameter, the pen is neither too slim, nor too fat. The barrel can store a spare Int’l. Std. Cart. cartridge easily; the spare cartridge comes out easily, giving one a total of 1.74mL ink capacity, which is more than many Piston or Vacuum Fillers. The Aluminium body is initially cold when first picked up, but it warms quickly in the hand.

At an un-inked weight of 23 grams, the pen is the prefect weight, neither too light nor too heavy. The pen has a perfect 50/50 balance.

My two regrets are that I didn’t buy the ēnsso Piuma Titanium and Burgundy ’99 Anniversary models.

  39. Not having any ENSSOs yet, I think the Italia would become my favorite pretty quickly! I also like the XS Minimalist in Copper. That looks very nice.

  40. The ITALIA Black Aluminum is probably my favorite, but the titanium would be a close second. I’m a sucker for peaked ends. Have wanted to get my hands on an ITALIA since the first time I discovered Ensso.

  41. The Italia is my favorite! I really like the Greek key detail. It reminds me of the old OMAS paragons.

  42. I’ve never used an Ensso pen, but the sleek look of the ITALIA is gorgeous! The XS in copper is gorgeous as well.

  43. I’ve never owned an Ensso product before, but looking at their pens, I believe this one is my favorite. I love the classy, minimalist design!

  44. My best-writing pen is a Pelikan M600 in bright orange. I’ve never heard of ENSSO before now and don’t have a metal pen. It would be interesting to have a heftier pen for my big hands.

Love the mountain goat on the nib. I participate in Summits on the Air, a hobby that combines peak bagging and amateur radio. One of the awards for operating from a lot of peaks is “Mountain Goat”.

  45. Looking at the ENSSO list of products, this Italia certainly takes the cake. I like the styling and that it’s metal with a Bock. I have a titanium nib that would fit well inside there!

  46. I have an Ensso Piuma in black and it’s great. I really like the look of the Italia, and all titanium is definitely cool.

  47. I use Lamy for everday, but do like an upscale pen at times.

Thank you for alwayss having great giveaway – I just have to always remember to enter them.

  48. This is the first I’ve heard of the the Ensso Brand. I’ve just recently stepped back into the fountain pen world after a 40 year hiatus that started off with cheapo Scheaffer school pen.

  49. I love a heavy metal pen. This is a great looking take on that. I’ve not tried an Ensso product, but would love to get the opportunity to!

  50. I’ve seen this exact pen in photos but never knew the brand, so thanks for clearing that up! This is the one from their line that caught my eye or its black version.

  51. Unfortunately for me, I’ve not had a chance to try these pens! But I love the engraving details on this, it looks like it’d be delightful to hold.

  52. I’ve never seen an Ennso pen before, so my favorite is that Italia pen! It’s so shiny and gorgeous!

  53. I am new to fountain pens and haven’t tried anything from Ensso yet. To be quite honest, my fountain pen purchases have been entry level pens from Pilot. The Italia looks gorgeous.

  54. To be honest, I didn’t know Ensso, but I’m all into Italian pens. It sounded Italian so I checked them out. Surprised to see it’s s not Italian, but I definitely like their ITALIA fountain pen.

  55. I haven’t encountered this brand before and know nothing about it, so I can’t offer an opinion about a favorite. But oh my, that is a beautiful pen! I especially love the detail of Greek key around the grip to match the one around the cap. Very thoughtful design descision.

  56. I have only used Ensso Gel Pens in the past, excited at the idea of a Fountain Pen from them. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

  57. I’ve never had experience with Ensso but it’s a nice looking pen I’d enjoy making my first.

  58. My favorite Ensso product would have to be the only one I’ve ever seen in real life and that is my brother’s ESCALA and he takes it out and puts it on my grandfather’s rolltop desk (that he inherited) every time I come over just to get under my skin. I have to say envy green is not a good shade on me.

  59. Oooooh Nooooo! I just came on this page today as I am trying to brand a pen I have.

The giveaway pen looks absolutely stunning and I would love having it in my collection! I do not have an Ensso, but do have a Wearever, a Parker vacumatic, a Parker “51”, 2 men’s Esterbrooks and a Lady’s Esterbrook (my grandmother’s), a burgundy Mont Blanc, 2 Sheaffers and the afore-mentioned unbranded black fountain pen that brought me this far. It is rather similar to the Mont Blanc, but a bit boxier. The Wearever and 2 of the Esterbrooks need ink bladders, but all are in good condition. I enjoy writing with them, too 🙂
