There’s lots of exciting things coming your way next week (and in the weeks to follow). I’ve got a review of the Lamy Logo F fountain pen , a sneak peek of a new project from Nock Co, a review of the Neatography subscription service, a hands-ion with the new Kaweco Sports Skyline in Mint, ink reviews and more. Then there will be some guest appearances in other places.
A Busy Desk in not a bored Desk.
Do you go “dark” when you’re busy?
I had a bad experience with Neatography. The subscription I thought I was getting, a three month subscription, turned out to be not three consecutive months but three months at the beginning of quarterly intervals. That being said, I emailed the person in charge, was told that was how it was set up. I ended up getting only two packets. I would not advise anyone to sign up with that service unless all of the bugs are worked out regarding payment, delivery schedule, etc.
I am truly sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the service, Barbara. I have made some changes on the website to more clearly explain that the quarterly package ships once every 3 months, but I apologize for your less than stellar experience.
I only tend to go dark when the internet or my computers force me to. This happens far too often for my liking.
Is that an ink bottle masquerading as a pencil sharpener?? What is going on there??
Yes, that is the Alvin Dux inkwell sharpener. The sharpener inside is a replaceable blade DUX sharpener, made in Germany. Its the best desktop shaprener I own. It stores lots of shavings and it looks good too.
