While the title might seem cryptic, it will all make sense in a moment….
There are so many things to be thankful for this holiday. And one gift I wasn’t expecting… a new Kickstarter project from the fine folks at Karas Kustoms. This is just a peek of the new Ink fountain pen (rollerball option is also available). Go over to their Kickstarter page for a full reveal. I’ll follow it up with some hands-on details in the next day or so.
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Inkmas!” Or should I say “Penmas?”
Interesting pen. The video is a bit weird – but that makes it fun.
The anodized black with brass section looks pretty classy. They say, “German made nib assembly and converter, Manufactured by Schmidt.” Does Schmidt “Manufacture” nibs? I thought they resold Jowo or Bock nibs. Hmmm… At least it’s not a Chinese nightmare nib. Regardless, the nib Will be a “nail”, and it seems you can’t choose the nib size. If the nib is a #6, it may be replaceable with a Goulet nib though.
I checked with Karas. Its a #5 sized nib and they plan on carrying all the Schmidt nib size options after the Kickstarter is completed. The nib options available will be F, M, and B. I hope that helps.
