Have I got a giveaway for you this month! I want to giveaway one of my favorite pens: a brand-new Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain pen! This giveaway is generously sponsored by JetPens.
Just leave a comment here on The Well-Appointed Desk (comments in Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook will not be valid) between now and Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 at 10pm central time. Let me know what you would do with your very own Kaweco Sport? Would you embellish it with a clip? Provide it with the finest of inks? Write the next great novel? Or jot down the best looking grocery list ever?

I would eye-dropper fill it with Diamine Sargasso Sea! š Then I would write letters to my friends with it!
Thanks for the opportunity to win š
I would love to be able to use this pen for my rapidly growing list of pen-pal letters. A good pen can make even the shortest note seem extra special.
Is this the wrong time to admit that I’ve never owned a fountain pen? If I won, I would treat it with love & care and provide it with some lovely turquoise ink š
I’m frustrated with using ball points! I’d love to own a lovely new fountain pen, haven’t had one since school days!
You know I write in and on the finest materials I can find, but I don’t own a fountain pen. I’d LOVE to have one to write in my journal with, it would make me feel all sophisticated (which I really am not…).
I would fill it with a bright, bold ink and write lovely postcards all summer.
I would fill the pen with either sepia or turquoise ink. I used to only write with black ink, but these colours have become a recent obsession.
I’d pour it a nice fill of the new Goulet exclusive-Noodler’s Liberty’s Elysium blue ink and take it for a spin across postcards, stationery…and, yes, a few shopping lists! Love your site and appreciate the opportunity to participate in your give-aways!
I’d fill it with Rhorer and Klingner and use it for all my accounting needs!
I’d select a blue body with a broad nib and fill it with blue ink and carry it in the front right pocket of my blue jeans when I’m not wearing a shirt with a pocket. (On shirt pocket days I’d add the gold-plated clip I just happen to have!) Then I’d use it for underling and marginalia in whatever book I’m reading and jot down notes in my little Rhodia pocket notebook or Moleskine small cahier.
I’ve never had a fountain pen, so first I’d learn how to use it. Then, I’d write letters on really nice paper with it. They seem like the best value fountain pens out there.
A great pen like that deserves its own carrying case… and I happen to have one ready for it
I love the kaweco sport line and would love to try a medium nib version. It would be perfect for writing letters this summer.
I’ve never written with one before but I would use it to write in my notebook and would be much more likely to send out holiday cards!!
I’d love to have a Kaweco Sport fountain pen to write my pen-friends or journal. No clip, just the pen filled with Noodlers Apache Sunset or maybe PR DC Super Show Blue or whatever strikes my fancy! Kaweco Sport pens are just the right size for my small hands.
My old fountain pen is dying. I would love to have a new one.
I would use it as the perfect excuse to begin writing in the new leather-bound journal I have been saving.
When I compose music, I love to hand-write the final version using a fountain pen. It looks so elegant and reminds me of the great tradition of manuscript scores.
I would write notes with it and practice my calligraphy. š Seriously, I have been wanting one of these pens for ages. I want to play with different inks and use colors that are not available to me via regular pens.
Of course a clip is mandatory.
Still deciding on a F or XF nib.
Ink would be a rotation of Noodler’s Zhivago and Baystate Blue (as well as many others).
It would definitely be a pen that I would carry on a daily basis.

I have been thinking about trying a fountain pen. It would be awesome to give this one a try!
I would use this, my first fountain pen, to help my wife fill the baby book for our second son who will be born next month.
Kevin
I’ve never used a fountain pen before and I would love to try one. The Kaweco looks great!
Oooh! I’d love to try one of these!
I haven’t had a fountain pen since I was an aspiring artist teenager attempting calligraphy well beyond my skill. I would love to get back into writing beautifully and making even my random love post-its to my fiance look special with a fountain pen.
I’ve been thinking about purchasing one of these little guys to add to my collection of fountain pens for some time now. I’d fill it with a pretty green bulletproof ink, put it in my handbag, and use it for everything from signing documents at work to making shopping lists.
I always wanted a fountain pen they look so cool but I can’t afford to buy one. I love to write and I would use this everyday!
I would use this pen to write in my journal incessantly while I’m supposed to be working (oops)
I would CREATE and capture great ideas with an instrument like this. It would make me smarter.
I’ve been wanting to get a new fountain pen for awhile, and these look really nice. If I had one of these pens, I would use it in my daily writing…it would probably make my handwriting look great!
I would fill it with Aurora Blue and use it as my everyday carry pen.
I would choose the black pen and add a clip to it.
I’d fill it with bright blue ink and write thank-you notes for this summer’s adventures.
I would totally make an impact at my new job!
Would love to receive this great looking fountain pen, love to ink it up with a great black ink and do some mathematics on some great paper.
I would fill it with J. Herbin ink (Vert Empire) and write notes in my SustainableEarth notebook!
Beautiful pen (in black). I’m a teacher, so I would use the pen to write out my lesson plans and notes.
I would probably choose a green or silver barrel, and fill it with Noodler’s Gruene Cactus Eel for writing letters from college this fall. I just found out today, I’m accepted at my Dream School!
Man, what would I do with my own Kaweco Sport? Supply it with only the finest, snappiest of inks? Tuck it into my breast pocket? Use it until it’ll barely write but keep using it? I’d probably do all of that. Except the breast pocket one. None of my shirts have breast pockets.
Hmmm. I think I would probably fill it with Noodler’s Baystate blue and use it write letters.
I have one of these and love it. I’ve been wanting to buy my mother one. She won’t let me. If I win this one, I’d give it to her! Then she could enjoy pens and inks as much as I do! Thank you for the chance.
This would be my first fountain pen. And I have some Clairefontaine paper that’s looking mighty thirsty.

Like a commenter below, I’ve also never owned a fountain pen. But I’d love to own one to “learn” I guess.
It would certainly be a very nice pen to help me keep my journal going.
Best, and keep on blogging.
This would become the pen that’s always in my purse or pocket.
I would fill it with Caran d’Ache Blue Night ink and write in my weather journal.
I’d fill the pen with dark blue tears and write about love lost.
To days that pass and healing souls, time spent was worth the cost.
Of smiles and joy, then broken hearts, and how two lovers fell.
The love’s run dry, but not that pen. Oh, the tales that it will tell.
If I had this pen, I would load it up with purple ink and take all of my legal notes with it.
This fountain pen would be used to write my wish list from JetPens.com.
I would use it to practice my penmanship. A pen that nice deserves it!
I would scribe beautiful letters and envelopes to all my friends, in every shade of ink imaginable.
Purple ink all the way. Some sparkles might be involved. I would use it under my doc cam at school and let my students be uber-jealous of my most exquisite pen! Come on random number generator!!!
This is sweet! I would get Aubergine purple with an extra fine nib!
I’d use it for journaling and doodling! Would love to fill it with pretty inks as well! š
I’m an illustrator and an avid fountain pen user. I would ink the pen up with my favorite shade of Noodler’s ink and fill up yet another sketchbook with it!
I love collecting fountain pens of all colors … but I do not have a Kaweco.
If I get my hands on one, I have a few samples of the most vibrant inks I could find, that I have no home for yet!
Hmmm – maybe I should use it to compile the inventory of my journals š
I’d love these! They don’t fit in my budget right now, so winning some would make my year! š
Use it on daily basis for everything involving writing is
for signing every page with ink I love
lasting some emotions with it
in the technology world around me
if not me somebody else will do
It will accompany my pocket book with its brown leather cover an pen loop on my daily rounds, and be filled with Waterman Blue Black. It will be used for making notes for my work, jotting down how to make our town a better place to work. And also for making notes for my other job, jotting down ideas for sermons, to note the names of people with problems.
I’d use the pen to fill in ancestry charts for library patrons! I know they would like that.
It is my birthday today and I keep entering these and never win but the laws of time and averages shall be on my side soon! Lol I want I want!!! Lol
I’d use to replace the Parker Sonnet I had at work before my wife stole it..
Oh, I’ve wanted a Kaweco Sport for ages. I would fill it with gray ink and carry it with me everywhere clipped to my Traveler’s Notebook. It would be perfect for taking notes and writing quick letters on the go. Thank you for this lovely giveaway!
While many people have a thing for Lamy, I guess my thing is Kaweco! Thank you for the opportunity.
I would fill it with my Mont Blanc racing green ink and write a letter to my mother.
I would let it tempt me away from pencils on a regular basis. š
Not sure what ink I would put in it, but I would carry it. Everywhere. Not carrying one of these with you would be like not racing a thoroughbred. These pens were made to be carried!
I would make an eye dropper out of it and use it with a 1.1 mm nib to make like I know how to write fancy. :p
Dig it.
I would love to have a fountain pen. I have never tried one before and I can’t find a good and affordable one where I live.
I would use it to jot down all my work notes in my notebook and possibly for drawing a bit. I would like to see how it compares with the nibs I have for drawing.
Thank you!
It will go with me wherever I go since it can fit in girl pants pockets. It would have a clip so that it will never fall out of said pockets. Also, play with different colors that come from Ink Drops and write out my life š
I would use it with my Lamy Safari to make more drawings – tricornhat.wordpress.com – I’ve been coveting the Kaweco sport for-eva!
It would be a constant companion in my pocket. It would bee specially useful in jeans pockets
I’d use it to write letters to my new baby niece, with family stories for a scrapbook.
A demonstrator, with a fine nib and a clip. I’d fill it with a bright blue Noodlers ink (maybe Baystate Blue) because I like Nathan’s inks and his defense of individualism and capitalism!
Oh, it would likely be a EDC pen.
BTW, thanks for the drawing!
I’d love to use a Sport on my novel in progress!
Hmm…journal writing might get even better with a Kaweco!
Count me in! A great blog!
I would try some nice black Lamy ink in it.
I would love the finest nib available and would try the Kaweco blue-black cartridges. No clip for me! Thanks for the chance to win a lovely Kaweco!
I’d draw with it!
… I”d love a burgundy one…
Oh I would love to have one!! I just bought two months of Ink Drop from the Goulet Pen Company and I would love to have a nicer pen to experiment with. I would use it to write letters.
I’ve been writing letters to my two young kids and stashing them away for them to hopefully read when they are adults. I would love to write them with a Kaweco!
Hmmmm….a lovely extra fine nib for sermon writing.
Kawecos make wonderful eye-droppers. I’d love to have one to use for writing my new play.
I would fill it with flowery red-purple ink and use it to write love letters. š
I would love to try out the fountain pen. Have not used one for decades!!!
I would write anything with a Kaweco Sport. I love the feel of laying down wet lines, watching them dry – and writing (again, anything) using a medium that matches the speed of my thoughts. Keyboards have their place – but a good fountain pen is for contemplative, thoughtful writing. Even grocery lists.
I’d use it for writing my daily journal. Thanks for the offer! Hope I win š
With a beautiful pen, I would sit outside on my deck under the tree sipping either my coffee (if I was doing this in the morning) or a refreshing “adult beverage” (if I was doing this in the evening) and write some beautiful letters. Aahhh…pen, paper, sitting outside writing…..sounds fabulous…just need a beautiful pen. š
I’d stick some nice pernament black ink in it and use it for my approaching A-Level exams.
I’d use it for homework/taking notes/writing/ NANOWRIMO this year!
What a lovely giftie – if I were to win, I would convert it to an eyedropper so I could write long letters to penpals and doodle on scraps of paper that passed my way.
Well, I am ashamed to admit I am the wife who stole a certain other commenter’s Parker Sonnet, so if I did luck out and win a Kaweco, I’d gift it to my sweet husband who totally deserves his own fountain pen (but not a Parker Sonnet because I love it more than he does). … Although I worry I’ll fall in love with the Kaweco as well…
since i couldn’t fill this with a cranberry margarita, i would fill it with cranberry ink and write with it all summer from my porch.
happy summer to you!
(oh, and thank you for the giveaway.)
It would become my go to pen for all my PostCrossing correspondence! Thank you for showing me that site!
Turn it into an eyedropper, load it with blue green ink and watch the ink as it swishes around inside like a miniature sea.
I’d convert it to eyedropper fill and make it my main work doodling pen.
I’d try it with that gorgeous turquoise eel ink you used in the cartridge refill tutorial. Love the blog!
Hope it’s me!
I love my Kaweco sport and would love to have an extra fine with a clip to add to my set of drawing tools. Kaweco makes a darn nice pen!
I love the clear body so I know when to refill:)
Ohhh I don’t know! I think I’d like to use it to write daily in my journal or plan a novel. :3
These fountain pens are great. I would slap a clip on that bad boy and turn it loose on some legal pleadings and discovery. A new Kaweco would make my job that much sweeter!
I would get a clip for it and fill it with Sailor Sky Blue ink, then I would write out my notes for next school year. ^.^
Hope I win! š I have been eyeballing one of these for quite some time now!
I would be filling it up with Noodler’s Black Swan in Australian Roses and writing at least one love note to my fiance every month!
I love kawecos! Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
I really like the Kaweco style and have been considering picking up the white body Sport. Maybe this is my chance to give it a try!
I’d definitely keep it plain – it would be the pocket fountain pen that I’ve always wanted.
I would give it to my wife who is a writer. I will though occasionally sneak away with it and draw some sketches. >:)
I’ve heard way too many good things about the Kaweco pens to not try my hand in this giveaway. I would test it out and see if it would fit as my main pen. I always a notebook with me so it would be it’s companion.
I would keep it somewhere safe to preserve it and would only take it out when I have special letters to write š
I’d fill it with some Noodler’s ink black and use it to draw up some ink and watercolor Artist Trading Cards.
I’d just be excited to pick out pretty ink colors for it!
I love and carry my pens around with me all the time! I would make this a purse pen for all sorts of purposes.
I’d fill it with a lovely sepia ink and use it to doodle in my ever-present sketch book.
I like your website–and your generosity! What a nice give-away!
The Black or White Kaweco (naked of course…no clip) would go fabulous with my lonely Lamy Safari š
I will convert it to an eyedropper and write all day.
I would really like this pen because I would dedicate it to my mother, whom I lost June 1 of last year. I would write poems to her, write her stories down which she used to tell exhaustively, and write prose of which she would be proud. I would fill it with ink the color of the ocean because she loved sailing. I would honor her memory.
