I hope everyone is having a day full of happy handwriting. If not, try handwriting your grocery list, copying down a favorite quote or poem or just jotting out a a few pangrams. If you do, leave a link in the comments so we can marvel at your penmanship — for better or worse.
Happy Handwriting Day!
In honor of Handwriting Day, I picked out my vintage penmanship shirt to wear today. Yep, I am that nerdy.
Hi, Ana! Happy Handwriting day back at ya! I’ve blogged about my writing: http://bellasartes.blogspot.com/2014/01/2014-national-handwriting-day.html
Every day is happy handwriting day for me. The ink color varies. And the nib, sometimes.
Where did you find that shirt?
It came from a vintage shop near Kansas City. It’s probably late 50s or early 60s, cotton. It fits me like a glove so I had to get it. I mean, c’mon… it has pen nibs on it!
My handwriting is so terrible that I have no worries about anyone finding and reading my diary. My friend refers to it as my “secret code”.
Happy John Hancock’s Birthday! [seriously, that’s why it’s handwriting day!]
I love your handwriting shirt!
Very cute shirt!
Such a great shirt!
I dream of lovely penmanship as I write my grocery and to-do lists.
I love that shirt!
Handwriting, unfortunately, doesn’t receive the attention it deserves. I fear that the internet and dumb (a.k.a. smart) phones discourage people from caring so much as an unhealthy rat’s butt about what their handwriting looks like.
That shirt is amazing. What a great find!
You’re the best, Ana. š
